Payment schedule 2026

The payout periods of the unemployment fund follow the calendar months. Unemployment benefit and early retirement benefit are paid in arrears for one month at a time.

The pay periods follow the calendar months. Unemployment benefits and early retirement benefits are payable in arrears for one month at a time.

Your payment form is available at My HK, and you can send it to us from the sixth last working day of the month. See the table below.
Sign up for our text/email service in your profile at My HK - then you will be notified when the payment form can be submitted.

Fill in and submit your payment card as soon as possible to have the money in your NemKonto on the last banking day of the month. Even if you get your payout specification before the last banking day, the money will not be at your disposal until the last banking day of the month.

You have one month and 10 days from the end of the month to fill in the payment card. Then it will become time-barred, and you cannot receive unemployment benefits or early retirement benefits for the period covered by the payment form.

Your net amount
If you want to calculate your net payout, you must contact SKAT. But you can also try to make your own calculation at SKAT's website.
NB! If you change your preliminary tax assessment made in December, then check with us that your changes have been registered correctly with us. You can do so by contacting us a couple of days after you have changed your preliminary tax assessment. This only applies to changes made in December of a calendar year.

Calculation of net payment

Primary and secondary tax cards
Unemployment benefit is taxable and is paid out in arrears for one month. The money is transferred to your NemKonto.
Generally, we use your primary tax card. If you do not receive full unemployment benefits, we use the tax relief proportionately for the hours that we pay out.
If you work and your employer uses your primary tax card, you must ask us to use your secondary tax card.

If you receive early retirement benefits, we will write to you when it is time to submit the form to us.
