Unemployment Benefit rates 2026

In the table below, you see the maximum unemployment benefit rates.
To get the maximum rate, you must have earned at least DKK 26,620 per month (full-time insured) and DKK 17,747 per month (part-time insured) on average for 12 months.

If you have not had an income resulting in entitlement to maximum unemployment benefit, an individual rate will be calculated equivalent to 90% of your salary (deducted the 8% labour market contribution).

You are considered a provider if you have a child/children under the age of 18.

You automatically save for your pension when receiving unemployment benefits. At the beginning, the amount equals 0.3% of the unemployment benefit, and to 3.3% on an ongoing basis until 2030. The pension contribution is not taken from the unemployment benefits, but is an additional amount. Read more about the pension savings here (Danish only).
